Terms and conditions
Entrants must be at least 12 years old. For entrants 16 or under, you'll need your parent or guardian's permission to enter.
By entering your email, you agree that we may use this information to contact you for updates on the competition.
Parkinson's UK staff are not eligible to enter.
You must be a resident of the United Kingdom to be eligible.
By entering your video in the When I Dance competition you grant to us the non-exclusive right in perpetuity to publish and/or broadcast all or part of the material (the video) in connection with all Parkinson’s UK communication resources.
Your choice of music must not breach any copyright laws. To make sure that you have the rights to use your music, we suggest using a royalty-free music library such as the YouTube audio library. You can search for free music or check the copyright policies for the music of your choice.
You take full responsibility for ensuring that you have the rights to use the music you choose. Parkinson’s UK will not take any responsibility for any breach of music rights, including financial. By accepting the terms and conditions, you confirm that you have the right to use the music you choose.
The competition opens on 9 November 2016 and closes on 30 November 2016.
Shortlisted entries will be announced by the end of December 2016.
Winners will be notified if they have won by email shortly after.
Results will be announced on the When I Dance website after the prize winners have been informed.
Only shortlisted and winning entries will be contacted.
The prizes are:
- Solo category
A showreel professionally filmed and edited by The Motion Dance Collective
- Group category
A free one-to-one dance training opportunity with one of our judges, Ryan Jenkins or Mechanikool
- Parkinson's dance group category
A free English National Ballet (ENB) Dance for Parkinson's workshop with live music on stage at the London Coliseum. After, the winners will attend a matinee of ENB’s production of Giselle. Date to be confirmed (January 2017).
Parkinson’s UK reserves the right to provide an alternative prize of an equal value.
There is no cash alternative available.
By entering the When I Dance competition, acceptance of these rules is implied and it is assumed that all entrants have read and understood all terms and conditions.
